Fallschirmjager Vol1&2

Military Mode Publishing are please to offer this new book by renowned author, Roly Pickering. Following his successful work ‘Austrustung’, where he covered rare German equipment of WWII,

Roly now explores the history and development of specialist clothing, helmets and equipment of the German Paratroopers in WW2. Volume 1 covers helmets and jump smocks, from their inception, right through the changes during war time, through to the late war models. Rare helmet covers are featured in detail, along with many unseen artefact, from some of the best collections from around the world. The book also shares many unpublished period images of the items in use. 230 pages, presented in Military Mode’s usual, high quality hardback format, with top quality high resolution photos.

Some rare 'unknown to many' items are unearthed, the Fallschirmjager ammo carrying harness to name but a few. Also heavily featured in the work is the ultra rare side lace up para boots and the scarce FG42 ammo bandolier in splinter pattern. Almost 260 pages makes this one of Military Modes biggest books to date.

Remember Arnhem: Story of the First Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron at Arnhem - 1st Edition Signed Copy

Remember Arnhem: Story of the First Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron at Arnhem - 1st Edition Signed Copy

A scarce 1st edition off Remember Arnhem: Story of the First Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron at Arnhem. Executed in hardback and signed by the author.
FOREWORD by Major-General R.E. Urquhart, C.B. , D.S.O, One time commander ist Airborne Division.

The 1st Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron was a unique small unit with a tremendous spirit. Its story during a comparatively short existence, but which took it from North Africa into Europe and then to Norway, and of the individuals who served in its ranks, is graphically described in this book, and few books of this kind have been so thoroughly researched. John Fairley had no connection with the unit during the war, and is therefore without the prejudice or loyalty which sometimes tends to influence such accounts, but there is no doubt as to his interest in the facts.
