British Airborne "Mae West" Life Preserver 1944 - Unissued Condition

British Airborne Life Preserver often refered to as "Mae West". In unissued condition yet with the obvious ageing. The vest is complete with all straps, hooks and clasps as well as the release valves. The life preserver is clearly 1944 dated and makers marked RFL and marked with the Broad Arrow. These life preservers would have been worn under the X-Type Parachute harnass. Widely used by British Airborne paratroopers during both Normandy and the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. In excellent condition, would be hard to upgrade.
